Creating My First Art Course + Enter to Win My Class!

by Crafts / DIY, Fan girl

I have been working toward this dream for several months now and I can’t wait to share it with you! My very first art course is a guided painting of Rosie the Riveter.

I picked Rosie the Riveter as the subject for this art course because I felt like there’s never been a better time to hear “We Can Do It!” With everything going on, I found myself getting burnt out by all the overwhelming details of life and I figured that someone else must be feeling like I do now. That’s why making time for art is so important– it’s a chance to unwind and let your creativity nourish your soul.

Rosie the Riveter also seemed like the perfect character for the present. This poster was based on the real women of World War II who had a “can-do” spirit and did what was necessary for the war effort so that they could bring their boys home. These women were strong, dedicated, and vibrant. I see all these qualities when I look at this poster and I wanted to paint my own version.

With this course, you’ll be painting your own Rosie the Riveter!

What the Course Includes:

This course will walk you through a history of the Rosie the Riveter image and the women who inspired it. We’ll also be covering color theory, so that you can choose your own colors to create your own Rosie the Riveter. Next, we’ll have a guided, step-by-step video for painting your own Rosie the Riveter. I haven’t sped up the video at all, so you’ll get a real-time look at how to paint Rosie from start to finish.

The class kicks off July 17th with a special, live-streamed launch party.

To celebrate 4th of July, I’m having a special pre-sale so that you can get Find Your Inner Rosie at 25% off!

For this course, I decided it would be fun to dress as Rosie the Riveter. While getting ready to film my art course, I filmed this time lapse of the process:

As I reflect on the journey of creating my first art course, I am filled with gratitude and excitement. The process of developing “Find Your Inner Rosie” has been both challenging and rewarding, pushing me to explore new facets of my creativity and teaching abilities.

Throughout the course development, I aimed to craft a curriculum that not only imparts technical skills but also inspires artistic confidence. By focusing on the fundamentals of acrylic painting and color theory, the course provides a solid foundation for beginners to delve into making art. The step-by-step guidance ensures that students can create a Rosie the Riveter of their very own.

The experience of creating this course has reaffirmed my belief in the transformative power of art and the importance of accessible, supportive instruction.

Looking ahead, I am inspired to continue developing courses that cater to various artistic interests and skill levels. The success of this initial course has laid the groundwork for future offerings that will further explore the vibrant world of mixed-media art. My goal is to create a diverse portfolio of classes that empower students to experiment, learn, and grow as artists.

I invite you to join me on this creative journey. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just beginning to explore your artistic side, there’s a place for you in this community. Together, we can embrace the joy of creating, support one another, and celebrate the unique perspectives each artist brings to the table.

Thank you for being a part of this adventure. Your enthusiasm and support fuel my passion for teaching and creating. I look forward to sharing more artistic endeavors with you in the future.

Happy creating!
