Sheep Pillow Crochet

I saw a picture of a sheep pillow somewhere on the internet, but then couldn’t find it when I was looking for throw pillows for the couch. So, I made my own! I wasn’t quite sure where to begin, but when in doubt, crochet!

Here’s what I came up with:

  • With worsted weight gray yarn and a size J hook, Chain 80, join with a slip stitch to form ring
  • Round 1= Sc around
  • Round 2= sc around
  • Round 3= *1bobble (a 5dc bobble), 2 sc* around
  • Repeat Rows 1-3 until piece measures 18 inches from beginning.
  • Fasten off

Face (Make 1)

  1. With black yarn, make a magic loop and sc 6 times into it
  2. *1inc* around
  3. sc around
  4. *1sc, 1inc* around
  5. sc around
  6. *2sc, 1inc* around
  7. sc around
  8. *3sc, 1inc* around
  9. sc around
  10. sc around
  11. *4sc, 1inc* around
  12. sc around
  13. sc around
  14. *5sc, 1inc* around
  15. sc around
  16. sc around
  17. sc around
  18. sc around
  19. Fasten off.

Ears (Make 2)

  1. With black yarn, make a magic loop and sc 6 times into it.
  2. *1inc* around
  3. *1sc, 1inc* around
  4. Folding the ears in thirds at the top half, sew to the head.

Legs (Make 4)

  1. With black yarn, make a magic loop and sc 6 times into it.
  2. *1inc* around
  3. Sc for 6 rounds
  4. Fasten off.

To assemble, stuff head. Taking body, fold in half and sew head into the top corner of the front seam. Stuff body (I reused a pillow’s stuffing for this) and sew back seam. Holding two legs together at a time, sew legs to the bottom of the body.

Hug your sweet little lamb pillow and Enjoy!
